I think the faux cabriolet shape is better to hotrod than the berline. It's just so much smoother. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Now that is cool, just love the look.
Do you think you could squeeze a front wheel drive Cadillac V8 under the hood
With regard to roofchops, my Pop has had a 3 inch (235mm) chop to give it meaner look without looking totally mad. I hope it has worked I will post a picture later on another thread _________________ In-the-Shed Speed Shop. |

This TA really looks like if has be done in France in the 50's... A Cadillac engine would be a BIG mistake!
My opinion for customizing a car is to respect what it is originaly. A 50's traction avant is a four doors, french car from the 50's. It can't be customize like an american coupé from the 30's... And this is all the interest of this green traction! _________________ www.super2cv.com

If I find a coupé 22CV somewhere in a barn, I will customize it! _________________ www.super2cv.com

No, that definately will not fit. Those 8.2 litre V8s are lazy, heavy engines with a crap gearbox and drivetrain anyway. Not hotrod material.

The style of the Traction is definately 30s, not 50s. The style of the green TA is not customizing, it is made to look like a 50s stock car. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

This TA is definedly CUSTOMIZED! I guess there was no never stock
racing car like this made out of Traction. If it would be copy of old TA
stock race car then it would not be "custom" then it would be
maybe "replica". But as a word Customizing means just modifying
something, it does not matter what is result!
"Customization, anything made or modified to personal taste"

This Traction is a late 40's/50's one, even if the design is from 30's. The traction has been more produced in late 40's, early 50's than in the 30's.
Anyway you got the idea and the stock car style was the best idea for that car. Maybe these Yacco ad, look more 30's than 50's, no?
For example a 2CV from 80's cant' be modify like a 1948 A type for example, and even if the design is more late 30's style.
I used "customize" to say "modify the style".
What about this Rosalie?
The replica:
