Hey, can we please not transform this topic into a "Citroen Hot rods are bad, look at all these bad examples I've filled my hard drive with"
cause it's not overly interesting to see crap all the time, and there are some good ones...
I'm waiting for the pictures of the Traction I was talking about previously.
I'll post them if I get them. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Yeah, it would be cool to keep a good level on this forum. Bad examples are unlimited when we're talking about custom citroën!!
Joseph-> I should have pics of that traction but I don't have time right now! Later this evening! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Here they are :
I think that's the closest you can get "stylewise" to a "Hot Rod Traction"... without going rear wheel drive.
It's a damn cool ride, to my mind. But a bit on the "dirt track race" side...
With blackwall Bias Firestone tyres, and without the rear fenders and boot it would look even more wicked. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Excuse me for polluting the web with my bad examples. THis is definately the best Hotrod Traction example I have seen. Is that a Hudson grille?
I don't much like the rear fender but if you remove it. there is a lot of empty space above the rear tire, see the yellow roadster. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

It's an accessory grille for Traction. There were several of those in the late 40's/50's. I don't remember which one it is.
About the rear fenders, I think they look well in this dirt track style.
The top chop is really good I think. The best top chop are the one you can't see immediatly.
There is some other custom TA in the USA. I saw some pics but I didn't save them on my computer... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

This is cool! WOW!
That car does not need any more chopping, it would look pancace then.
Like Etienne said too much chopping is not good design, it just radical.
Just that huge boot gives a bit grandpa look.

I like the green thing, but i have to disagree a little about the others. I think the C4 van would look good with a larger set of rear wheels and a bit lower suspension . _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Maybe the "spare wheel" booth would look better by the size, but the style would have been too "beautiful" for a dirt track car. You know what I mean? _________________ www.super2cv.com |

I haven't made up my mind about the boot. Do you have a picture of the side or 3/4 rear that shows the whole car? _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

That's right Bart, the yellow one was in Chroom & Vlammen. I don't remember which number and year, '81 or '84.
The green Traction ... just stunning, nice!
Not a custom at all, but I don't have to explain why I'm posting this stunning Faux cabriolet. One of the nicest Tractions and best restorations I've ever seen.
