Did more work today.

I managed to put the engin on the chassis with the gearbox. I've loaded it with some fresh new oil and did some manual turns to lubricate all the internal mechanic:

I did as well some work on the ventilation cases. I've grinded and painted them with anti-rust and black paint:

I'm not a car painter so be cool on the coments Razz

If you did it with the same patience and eye for detail as you did by the rest so far, then I'm sure that you've painted it nicely. Cool

Yes man, did it the same way I did things before. It took me about 4 hours to clean all parts, and then I've painted them...

Good work i want a front bench seat. Not sure about the white though, if they were mine they would be grey within the first 5 minutes of driving. Laughing

Bit of work done this WE:
- Steering wheel painted
- Admission and exhaust pipes grinned and painted with special heat-resistance black paint
- restoration of an old single cam carb.

Here are the pictures (Sorry about the quality, it's from my mobile)

Hello All,

Been working a lot today on the car I've started for the first time the engine. Nevertheless I need some help from you.
The oil is all going nicely everywhere but there is a but...
Indeed, I put some petrol in the carb, the engine starts, but it seems that the gaz pump is not working. How can I test if it is ok or not?

in the past i have taken the tube between pump and carb at the car end and got some one to turn the engine over once or twice to see if any petrol comes out. This is potentialy darngerous though.

Yep, I did that yesterday but nothing was coming out of the hose. So I guess that my pump is dead. Is there any way to repair it or should I just get a new one?
