Other mod that would be very good for proportions is to chop the vent flap under the windscreen the same % you remove from windscreen, in order to keep things in the right scale.
People either remove it, losing a typical 2cv detail, or just leave the vent panel stock with a tiny windscreen, making it look stupid. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Well, I know it will not be easy but it is what gives the difference between what that looks right and those who just are modified.
It is true that there must be a lot of work in the area around the small window, but I think it will be very similar to what has been done on the blue.
The first plan was to remove the air flap and "move" the windshield down, but can certainly see that it is something I should think a little more.
The plan for the rest of the roof is to move everything forward and down.
But I'll see if I can not make a working drawing _________________ Mvh. Lars E

Are there good examples of solving the "problem" of 2cv body shape, room for a huuuge hat over driver's head but the top of windscreen is so low that tall people have hard time seeing forward (and shorter people too if the roof is chopped)? How to get the windscreen upward and make it still look nice? |

i think that removing the vent flap is the best option. i did this on my pickup. you will have to modify the wiper mechanism and window heating system, but it will work.
also there is going to be a nasty hole in the interior which is normally covered up by the plastic dashboard-thing behind the vent flap. i disquised this with 2 aluminium panels.
in think removing the vent flap looks OK too. i left room to put just the piece of aluminium trim that normally 'hinges' the vent flap, to give it some detail. |

So, I've been in workshop again, is in the process of constructing an a new set of rear wheels.
Everything is easy with an angle grinder :-)
Now they just get past the sandblasters and powder coated so they are ready

So is The bodies and wheels come back from the blaster, lucky not so much rust as I had feared.
Little in the right panel, and gutter at A pillars, so it's just to get started, so I get to the fun. (modification)
rear wheels were finished today, and they get along with reserved and front rims sent for powder coating on Monday.
Front tires came with GLS here today from daekonline.dk. 135/70 * 15
And then some other pictures of a disassembled 2CV
fuel return
12mm suction pipe
Pump and filter
