Hi, think I found the tires to the orange, so there should be room to not hit the fenders, but I have a new problem, but it should be resolved with a gear box from a Visa Club (145/80 * 13 original = small)
Fittings for brakes, I also believe I have solved, expect to weld a powerful hardware that goes from the original gearbox mountings on the sides and to where the engine and gearbox is bolted together.

Has been started to upgrade the bottom frame and springs. So now sits a galvanic and PO reinforced chassis under 2cv'en.

Spring boxes and mounting tubes are now in stainless steel and sits some harder springs inside.

Hello again, Last winter the engine and chassis were updated, so now it is time that the body must have a facelift. it is first blasted at selected sites to remove hidden rust. There after, the old helmet back on and a set of fenders in original size.
but when I was out to take it apart. I came to think a little, after measuring, and think a little. I began to put some tape on how that might be cut.

A pillar must be shortened by 8cm, it will lower the front 6.5 cm. B pillar with 4.1 cm. and C pillar at 2.9 cm. And top to "break" at the bottom of the trunk's lid.
The tape indicates where to take material out and where to cut to "stretch".

I want to keep the windshield and the original hood and trunk lid's not modified.

Does it look completely silly?? or am I onto something right??

I would luv to do a chop to a 2cv one day!

THIS topic has some good information.
Although most of the examples in it have the windscreen tilted back instead of the vent flap cut out. I think the Dagonet is the best example of a roof chop + more aerodynamic due to the windscreen tilt 12 degrees and the body sectioned 10cm Cool .
A "standard" chop, like the yellow one in link looks off because the hump at the back is put out of proportion.
There is also a thread here on Snail somewhere of pics of a roof chop, i'll need to look more.

Your car is great Lars a roof chop with a shaker hood would be awsome Twisted Evil

In my case, I would not tilt the windshield, but tilting rear window and trunk's flip forward so roof line will have almost the same curvature as the original, just lower.

Print a side view blueprint of a 2cv in paper, then cut with scissors. Is a cheaper exercise than starting with the grinder... You can even make multiple mockups. Seriously, is not bad idea, and the only way to see if the puzzle fits again or is any extrange bend or sharp point, then scan and post the result(s).

About the style itself you also have to think what it will be. If you want to keep this racing style of your 2 CV, I think the chop won't be necessary.
Top chop is more old racing style (Dagonet) or custom (Limbo Rock)... Don't you think ?

The wide tires and fenders are already removed along with front spoiler, and they do not come back.
The style should be somewhat older racing than it is now,
The biggest reason for this surgery is to remove the flat piece under the windshield where the air flap is usually sit.

Everything must look as if it is born such 40-50år ago

Dagonet has given much inspiration

the roof line on this 2CV is the closest I have seen online of what I have in my head.
Does anyone have any other images and data on what he has done??

But good idea on paper template may even print out a few pieces so it can be tested.

There are a few steps of the build of that car

It is vital to shrink the 3rd window zone like he did (and like very few (none ?) contemporary 2cv chops have done) in order to keep nice flow.
