My thoughts too...
but the rear front one and the front rear one look good. they "answer" each other. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

tnx Sam
well, I think I've decided on the rims FOR THIS FIRS PERIOD and need a little info about that, will GS wheels (the first model with holes and small hubcap) fit the inner wings of a 2cv? my idea is to sandblast them leave out for a while to get nicly rusty polish the hubcaps and clean and "blacken" the tires i have (135x15 shitty Mabor)
one other thing is bothering me a bit, it is about the rear sectin (taillight section) of the car. I'll put small round AK round taillights and need to make new part for that (the lights will be frentched inside) I was thinking about just plain steel sheet with that lights and licence plate but yesterday a friend (Sivipas) offered me to put on a reproduction of '60s rear end of the car.... what do you think?!?

don't forget you'll need paint on the inside/tyre contact surface of the rim
they will fit on the 2cv on the back, but probably not on the front 'cause they hit the steering rods. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

yep I have that in mind, with what kind of stuff should I protect the rims after they rust a bit? matt clear coat them?!?
I think that a spacer would do the job for the front wheels? |

You can fix GS wheels for 2cv by drilling weldings which keeps center in
outer rim off. Then press center piece 5mm in and weld it back again.

Rear ones may fit, but they can hit on "suspension limiter rubber" which is
located on inner fender. In front its best to modifie rims like I tried to
explane. I have 6mm spacers and longer bolts in my Azu, but I should
modifie rims too, to get a rid of that stuff.
If you drill that rim open, you will notice that center is really stuck there.
You need to press center in with proper machine. Then you need to check and
measure that wheel is spinning still straigh, before welding. After pressing,
center is still very stuck there so you can take your rims to anyone who
has good/big welder and skills.

Don't bother asking, Dule, I'm sure he'll say no
GS will fit on the rear with no problems, normally. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

yes, so, fck'em I have my own 2 hands and I'll try to do the best i can with them
here are the pics of the front bumper, i have to put one more coat of white and than clear coat it, but I have made "small" mistake, lights fitted very nicely before I've put the supports on and before I've tarted to sand all of the filler down ...somehow I've got carried away and sanded down too much so now the light stick a bit out - I'll have to reuce the "plastic chrome" ring around them now
here is with what I've started - a piece of flatt alu stripe 1.5 cm wide 2 mm thick - on the photo are one done and one to go
after a while (of sanding polishing and stuff like that) - it fits nicely
with the turn signal light
and the whole picture
for now everything was fitted in a hurry for the photo session hahaha all the gaps I'll try to set wright! |
