a little update..

while my car is chillin' in my dad's garage Ive started to make some new parst that will go on the car in spring

the easiest thing was to make rear plate withe the HR sign - car stickre for Croatia, but this isn't a sticker put a piece of someones old fridge hehe, soon I'll make the support bracket also, and it will go on my new rear bumper...after I make it from scratch :)

than I've borrower from a friend oldstyle small front bumper...

than..made a fiberglass mold for the replica, and one replica..

unfortunatly, that "original" bumepr is in fact aftermarket so it has a "bit" of not-so-good points, and ofcourse they were also copied on my fiberglass model, bumps and schratches Evil or Very Mad

for the schratchs I don't care a lot - for that filler is invented, but i dont like these bumps (they are on the bottom side but still i don't like'em..

I've also found some CHEEEEEEP CHEP turn signals (about 3 Euro a pair) so for the time beeing I'll put those on my bumper (front and rear) untill I find better ones - they MUST BE SMALL these are, as you can see, 3cm in diameter...will make a sort of "tube" under the front bumper to fit'em smootly, and also a "custom" aluminium stripe for the bumper and smoothen the central part! no "horns" will be fitted onto the bumper..

Good work, my man. I like the blinkers, why change em?

But I understand you design aftermarket parts? That's interesting...
How do they make a steel production part off a polyester model? Did they make a stamping mould or something?

hmm I think you didn't get me wright -maybe because of my english hehehe

I've copied - in fiberglass - one replica of an oldstyle bumper, and after making a fiberglass mold I've made a fiberglass replica, and I must say even now (unfinished as it is) it is a lot lighter than the one I've copied but a lot stronger too!

as I'm not a good welder but I know a bit or two about fiberglass it is easier for me to work with that

here is what i plan to do with the turn signals

a quick chop to a plastic tube and a bit of a scotch tape (cabels will offcourse run inside the bumper in case you were wondering)

upside down

and the wright way up Cool

on this last two pictuers you can agan see that big bump un the bottom side - it is causing the bumper to stay a bit off...

what do you think should I push them even more inside? not to stick out like alien's eyes? ...I don't know why it reminds me like this on DS?!?!

Sorry, I misunderstood.

The bumps can be solved by block-sanding and 2K polyester filler. Paint it afterwards and you will not see the difference between steel and this one.

I think the blinkers look great. Like it was meant to be there.

while waiting on the paint and filler to dry and inbetween figuring out what to do with the rims for my 2cv I have been playing with pen, scanner and photoshop... the inspiration and help was "borrowed" from nice drawing of Antoine Wink

looking very nice.

good job !

The blinkers are nicely placed, juste under where the Alu strips end. maybe slightly more on the inside so they don't stick out as much, but it already does look quite nice.

I wouldn't fit the front Robris on the fenders.

I dont like front robris ether... I dont think they are really good looking
accesory. They brake clean lines and that corner does not need any extra
visual elements.
