And oh yeah, Are those burn marks from the tyres on top of the rear wheelarches?

Also on rear fender you can see burn marks. I guess he keeped regular spring and shock absorber...

Yeah, right! He still wants to turn!!
Another detail, look how high is the steering wheel.
I will use ami8 one with connecting rod, and for seats simca rallye ones. They are low enough... It's also possible to lower regular front seats, like in the Limbo Rock for example, but I'd prefer use anything else like they have in hot rodding for example. _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Yep, they are burn marks caused by the tyres that are too tall...
I have a set of six 13 inch modified 2cv wheels, made with 2cv centers and Opel rims.
They fit no problem, because the offset is the same as 2cv. (that is the simple reason why GS wheels don't fit a 2cv, the offset is different)
They require taller tyres if you want to get the same diameter as 125 or 135-15, but if you wan't to keep it low, you can fit lower profile 13 inch stuff (like Mini Tyres) and put an AMI 8 gearbox (but Etienne has already got that on his car cause it's a Dyane)

Anything is possible
But you need the equipment to cut off the 2cv wheel to right diameter, then cut the welds on the Opel (or whatever) wheel
then be equipped to weld it all together properly and well in line (otherwise you might have fun like I did with my Hot Rod)
and you need the time it will take to do this for 4 wheels, at least... (if you want a spare wheel)

Cool!
But please remove the third side window and use old door handles (or none at all)
But I guess you were already planning this? _________________ Belgian built '67 Dyane. |

Yes you're right! and don't worry, you know I like when it looks old!
No third window, and no handle doors for rear doors. For the front doors I will see but for sure, not the plastic ones!
I worked good yesterday, channelling is going well
But no pics for moment... _________________ www.super2cv.com |
