And surely that will prove ten times more useful a mod than the double vent flap safari windscreen Laughing

Lets hope so JoZef Wink although I still need to check the clearance of the bolt...

Yes I have the locking nuts, I didn't put them on for mock up photo.

Shits getting tight!

I need this car on the road by end of July to drive it a dick load of k's to the top of Australia!
I have bought the Kermit green 2pac paint Cool
Had most of the panels sandblasted, including body, for a cleaner finish;

it will be the old 602 engine but still with fuel injection and an LN gearbox :)
here is an idea for the gearbox mount:

I'm adding grease nipples every where and generally doing things I don't really need to be doing... Twisted Evil

I haven't modified the fuel injection since I had iy running 3yrs ago... so it should be plug and play... as long as the little magic witchcraft fairies are still living in the little box...

Maybe chuck a carby with the barbie in the boot?

If those magic fairies escape when you're in the outback, it'll be a devil of a job to track them down... Wink

If You know how it's working, and of course have tools with You, it is possible to repair as well as carb car...

How many of You carries extra carb, or parts for it with..? Rolling Eyes

I have travelled five years with EFI Dyane, nothing hasn't broken yet. Photo above is from TurboIE 2cv, and reason for that was some tv-repair-man who didn't proper soldering when he made some mod to ECU...

Yes, I have already tried and tested this, as I am using an original manifold I have an adjustable in-line fuel regulator to drop the pressure from 45psi down to 10psi for a carby. It's a quick swap at the side of the road if required.

You have given me an idea Ken, rubber mounting the efi computer, those corrugations get horrific...

Thanks for the support guys, i'm going to need it!

Some pics of my makeshift workshop Very Happy

I've been busy, finally I feel like I have made some progress.
I fitted my modified steering arms, 6mm clearance between the nut and the rim.

I have fitted nipples to everything that moves...

and they work! In one side, out the other.

I had to grind a small slit into the retaining nut on the hub to allow grease out. you can just see it in this pic...

I got the body and the last of the panels/parts back from the sandblasters, I will grab some pics 2moro!

At the panel shop 2day and night...

I spent most of the day hanging the modified hatch, I still have to fab up the rear light panel...

And fitting struts.

Despite my short timeframe to get Kermt back on the road I find myself doing rather useless fiddly things like shaving the external roof mounts Neutral But I don't mind because I am confident it will be ready for the Viking raid at the end of July Twisted Evil

15 minute power nap and I think I will try to hang the stricker for the front doors...
