The engine seems to be very motivated to get the car going.

Looks like the mix of pieces worked out fine.

Modern 602 block, crank and camshaft.

AM-M4 heads (first generation M4 with bigger valves)

New Perfect Circle AM2 cylinders and high comp pistons

Solex 40 PICS 3 carb

Post '82 2CV6 flywheel and diaphragm clutch.

I have however a leak at the head tubes gaskets... not sure whether it's because I fitted them wrong or because I used the wrong type regarding the mix of old heads and new block ? Whatever it is I need to take it apart again... Rolling Eyes

no I don't wear lipstick Laughing

I wanted to fit the lightened flywheel you gave me but found no one to balance it for me, so I fitted Citroen's own light flywheel Wink

Yep, sort of just the looks

I suppose the exhaust and intake manifolds are less performant than the AM2, but the AM-M4 heads have slightly bigger valves, and the Solex 40 carb is apparently a good choice for "high" revs (everyone uses it on 2cv Cross racers), so my vague guess is that it should balance out more or less to the same level of performance as a double choke carb stock AM2.

I think I have some height issues... Laughing

Nearly driveable, still need to work out the electrics (I hate that stuff) and I'm waiting for my rims to come back from the painter... can't set final ride height without them Crying or Very sad

After lots of cutting, measuring, welding, the exhaust pipe is modified for driveshaft and steering rod clearance :

And still no wheels. Neutral

It works !

Still mostly adjustments needed, but it drove it's first 3km just a few moments ago...

The rear fenders need trimming at the bottom to get them to clear the tyres, and it's still super high at the back. I should be able to get it 4cm lower front and rear with no problems at all at the back and just a bit of fender clearance issues up front.

Way pleased !
