It still need some modifications to be really cool (rear "old" face, no 3d side windows, lowered, complete old dash etc)... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

No I went in UK with Pascal and one of his 15 2cvs!!
But this "hoodride 2cv" is my only driveable car, so I use it a lot (around 35 000 km a year)! I just come back from Gaetan's home, and I drove 2300 km with it in few days. It works good! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Will you put a narrow frontlight support? _________________ Tibo & Rose-Yvonne

So for a while I was bored to hit the ground with the first exhaust body under the gearbox. It doesn't break the body himself but the fixation of it. So these last time it was making bad sounds under the bonnet.
I needed to do something but I don't really like the sound of the usual "2 in 1".
Today's work :
- Took an old body but in good condition :
- Made it half size and empty:
- Closed it:
And now there is no bad sounds under the bonnet, I fitted it perfectly, but...
... the sound at the exit of the exhaust is crazy! Really wild.. maybe too much
There is no silencer at all, so I guess I will make something like on the Olli's azu, with same motorbike silencer and exit at the back of the car. _________________ www.super2cv.com |

I first had a normal size empty cross box and later one with a bigger volume one, with a straight pipe out. This last setup was loud but not to bad... Anyway my experiance was that the bigger crossbox made the egine perfom better, so I'm not so sure about your new crossbox, smaller might cost power.
I have to agree with you that 2 in 1 is not always perfect. I had one to test from a friend of mine but is killed the performence of my engine. Luckally I have another design 2in1 now on my car which should do better. Don't know jet cause I fitted it last week and didn't test it so fare.
Cheers, Bart |

I was thinking also about that, maybe I loose power I dunno.
In the original box there was 2 parts, each the size of the only one now.
The first part was for one cylinder and the second was for the both cylinder. So now it's like if I have just the second one. It should be the same power I guess... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

I drove the car today and in fact the sound is ok.
Really loud when the car is accelerating, but when the speed is regular it's really quiet... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

After two weeks... I'm bored of this new sound! It's not too loud, but the sound is not nice at high revs...
So I repaired the regular crosssbox!
But there is something I don't understand. Now the crossbox is perfeclty fixed to the gear box but on one side it's lower than the other. On the driver side, the crossbox is same level than the chassis and on the passanger side, the crossbox is 3 cm lower than the chassis... Is that normal?? _________________ www.super2cv.com |
