Be sure to give welds extra attention: coat with zinc spray immediately after welding, close seams with kit and inspect old welds!

Be sure not to give extra attention to welds: remove them! Grind untill the welds are gone to make sure your car looks like it has never been welded. The result will be just so much nicer, even though some of the welds would not be visible from the outside. Perfect work is just so much nicer than 'okay'.

How does the rust come there?? Shocked
Well it is a very common spot on dutch and english 2cv really, both my 2CVs had it, but the AZ (from France) doesn't. Something to do with the weather I suppose...

Quite normal in Finland also... Weather, moisture, salt, never dry...

After seven years every-day-use, 1988 Charleston was in that condition so we could put it in pieces without any tools... Embarassed

Nice work there..!
