15" wheel = 380mm

125/80 tire has 100mm high size ((125/100)X80)

so 380+(2X100)=580mm

Very Happy

with smart tire 145/65r15 size is 94,25

380+(2X94,25)=568,5mm

so it means 6 or 7cm smaller...

Ah i thought 2cv 125 tyre is a 125/90 tyre, which would be 381mm + 2 x 112,5mm 606mm

Whow what a difference! Could briefly explain how you make smaller rims, please?

Cheers, Bart

well you take a 2cv wheel and cut the inside out of it.
then take any 13'' wheel and cut also the inside out of it and than make the inside part of the 2cv wheel fit inside the 13'' wheel and than weld the 2cv inside on the outside of the 13'' wheel. of course a lttle bit straight.

something like this

well it doesn't look that bad if you imagine it will be 12 cm lower

the only problem is that the offset is too much

but it can't be more to the inside becouse of this

so i have to think about it. or make a 14'' wheel with a very smal tyre or cut a smal piece of the king pin and make a new 13'' wheel but than with less offset

The 15" wheel of your example has a 135R15 or a 145R15 tire, no?

12cm lower, should look like that :

About your problem, maybe when you can cut 2cm in each arm to make a narrowed front axle. Turning radius will be bigger but... who cares?

yes 145r15 ettiene.
that is also a option narrow the front axle Rolling Eyes and i don't give a f#ck about a turning radius ,acually it is a very good option than i can adjust the king pin angle at the same time so the steering will be not so heavy Very Happy

Okay, clear.
Do you turn the 2cv rim centre and 13 inch rim ring to the right diameter on a turning bench? or did you just do that with a hand grinder and tried to get it as accurate as possible?
And how did you make sure the ring and centre where alinened and set the wished ET value/offset?

Thanks, Bart

i did it with a hand grinder but next time i do it on a lathe (turning bench).
than i put the centre 2cv part on a car and take the outside part and put it on the inner piece. then just turn the wheel till you'r satisfied and weld it solid
