I Guess the calcualtions is the most difficult part, thatīs why designing springs is a very specialist and expensive hobby.

I think if you would visit Hyperpro, Technoflex or WP suspension, they would love to develop springs, but the price would be very high. Or maybe trade in with free advertising and cost price , who knows :) Also springs and shocks have to work together, to make it even more difficult.

And what about the extra wear on the chassis and arms, they are desinged for soft springs.

we only use a custom built shocks that are built for us to work correctly, the are all alloy, down side they are Ģ200 ish each but they can be fully rebuilt, the work

It's just regular 2cv6 engine and gearbox.

They come from this car:

It was the 2cv of a friend of me. The car had an accident : wrecked chassis and shell. That was in december 2004 (you can see my ex 2cv in the background on the first pic).
My friend had to make some space in his garage so he gave me those last summer.

I'll drive 15" wheels in the front for long trips, and slammed the car on the 13" just for the meetings or city drive!

I'll see to adapt gsa gearbox later, first goal is to drive and to go to Dunkerque.

Ideal would be Axel Box...

I guess AMI 8 or Dyane box would be best as "make do" solution.

Or Ami8 final drive in 2cv6 gear box. Easy to put, quite comfortable to drive with slightly tuned engine (and in this situation, with 13" wheels).

It's better than Ami8 gearbox, little longer gears...

You can check on the Cats website. The only good one withe 2cv engine would be the gsa 4 speeds.

Dyane, 2cv engine, 2cv gear box, 145/70R13 = 102,96km/h (13%)

Dyane, 2cv engine, ami8 gearbox, 145/70R13 = 106,84km/h (10%)

Dyane, 2cv engine, gsa 4 speeds gearbox, 145/70R13 = 118,66km/h (4%)
or
Dyane, 2cv engine, gsa 4 speeds gearbox, 145/65R13 = 118,66km/h (2%)

Axel gearbox is made for 13" wheels and 4 cylinders so it's too long gear for a flat twin. And Ami8 gearbox is also a lot too short. I know where to find one for free, I'll see if I have time to go pick it up. But it just gives 4 km/h better top speed...

looks like the ideal would be :

Dyane Engine / 145-70-13 tyres / Axel Box with GSA 4speed Diff :

Potential Top speed with engine : 122.62 km/h
Potential Top speed with Gbox : 123.91 km/h

difference 1%

But that takes a bit of dismantling and rebuilding... Neutral but it would be worth it to keep 13 inch wheels all the time

For sure it would be better to keep all the time the 13" wheels. But I'll see that later. I have a 4 speeds gsa gearbox, I'll see to adapt it when the car will be ready. Still so much to do before to go to Dunkerque, can't lose time now.

The Visa 652 gearbox seems even the best (0%) but I don't know if it's possible to use it because of the inboard brakes...

Yes the Ami super seems also ok.
