my car is painted and it looks like this:
I still have to paint the wheels, replace the shock absorbers and then lower it, do the interior, paint the logo on the sides, etc.
this weekend my cousin and I fabricated roofracks for mine and friend's AK. first I made a drawing based on roofracks I've seen on worldmeetings:
then we found some curved parts on local scrapyard and started to weld
and a finished article:

Did you take the original bleu glacier or did you have it made a bit darker like you said before? The roof rack you made looks nice! |

@dule - it is Goran's Ak, he's preparing it for Raid Australia this summer
Sam - it's not original bleu glacier, it's closest match I could find. I thought it will be darker, but I like it this way. some additive is added to paint which was supposed to make it matt, but it is somewhere semi-matt, not really shiny, not full matt, so I guess I'll have to follow Kustombart's advice and sand the whole car with scotchbrite pad. |
