I'm not thinking anything, I see from picture that getting spares is difficult.
I just say that those pieces are shit ugly, and if it easy or not get spares
does not change that fact.

That's were I got the cans. They work really well. I got a discount because I bought a lot of cans. If I can put more than one can in a box, I am sure it will save postage costs. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

To repair: fusee ( right)
handbrake ( not enough)
drumbrake right
25% -50% difference between left and right discbrake
man! the control in Belgium is hard.
But I've made already some modifications: roofrack ( hell yeah), removed foglights, bumper painted matt black,... |

Dont be despondant, the tech control is a pain, but imagine if someone smashed your 2cv up because they have a badly maintained car which fails?

You could fix this in an hour! _________________

If you're gonna do the fusee, do both, or you will probably have to do the other one next year.
For the handbrake there is a 5 minute fix. Just drill a new hole in the handbrake strip at the end of the lever, about 5 cms closer to the dashboard. Take the connecting pin out of the hole at the end of the strip and move it to the new hole, voila!
In daily driving, you don't need the handbrake anyway.
Oh and for the difference, try bleeding the brakes first, that could help a lot. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

the fusees whil be the most difficul.
for your rearbrakes it is possibel that the brake cilinder on the rear leakes i had the same. But you can adjust them also the brakes pads on the rear.
I have a 44mm tool for the drums to come off.
I live in Elewijt. sow If you won't you can come And I fix this with you. now problem
just let me a pm.
I also have the explanation about the fusees.
http://members.chello.nl/abeeke/techniek.htm

Did you grease the fusee(kingpin) before you took it to the Technical Control??? You should always do that, it makes a big difference for the play on the kingpins.
If that doesn't solve it you can patch up the fusee(kingpin) by putting a piece of feelergage/voelermaatje on the place where it has most play.
Feelergage is a very good metal for that cause it is very hard so doesn't wear away so quickly...please don't forget it is only a way to patch it up, not a decent repair.
Good luck, Bart |
