Paint job is not perfect, but with fall and winter coming... well maybe redo that in summer.

Hope to get MOT this or next week!

I love it, great finish!
But if you were going for a shiny finish, you f*cked up Wink
I wouldn't do it, but if you want it shiny, it could maybe be polished up, depending on the paint used.

matted finish was the goal, yes, Cool

It's a bit to shinny for now, but all is very fresh, so it will fade some more hopefully....

I don't really fancy a shiny car, and this makes it feel and look a bit more "old" as opposed to a shiny new car

Im loving the colour Spookeend, and the wheels definitely look better black.

Satin finish is the way forward, it adds years to a car for that 'older look' Wink

Superb work.

thnx all!

It drives very good too sofar, bit stiff and hard ride now, but it's still superlight and original, so will add some weight and the ride will get smoother.

The yellow plates, well, might try some blue ones, but they are illegal really since the cars is on 1987 plates and the blue's are from before 1974.....

I do agree the old plates look better but for now, not really into running into fines for wrong plates...

(audio's next hopefully... and seats...)

as it is not a rebuild of Spookeend..... i have been thinking of a new name for a bit now, and this is the result....

Spookeend is Dutch for Ghost Duck, it came from my last name, Van Geest, translates to Ghost or Spook or Spirit, and since i have been driving a 2cv for all my life (before and after 18, lol) the nick was given once to me...

So, for the new car i came up with this....

kilometers are going under the wheels nicely! way over 1000 KM now and speed is very good to, GPS tipped 125 KM/H !!!

getting colder and colder so not much speed here now, and soon the roads will be salted again.... to bad, and He's not sleeping inside.... and waterproof a 2cv is like.... well..... utopia? lol

I love the drive, all audio is back in, so very happy, can't wait for Poland!

Some images from new inside, audio and stuff

First a layer of insulation, then nice layer of black upholstery.
The inside of the next roof will be done like that aswell, maybe next year.

and i installed an extra brakelight. The normal lights are very low on the car and i care for my own safety.... I drive the 2cv always, so i want to be seen
