it's not my topic we're spoiling, this is Matteo's car and topic.
Why not make your own topic, your project looks like it deserves it's own topic
If i would have to make a guess about the required pressure for the Monroes, it would be in the order of about 50 bar, but an educated and experienced guy like yourself could calculate it precisely
Of course it all depends on the weight of the car and the length of the spring mounts.

If it isn't your topic why do you answer?????? Your only guesing and I don't like that...
On the cylinders is a sticker saying SRP, so where do they come from...
Looking at the size there are at least 5 inch (they appear bigger then the height of the chassis to me).....
and ofcourse I can calculate the pressure needed to lift a 2cv, but I need a confirm before I spend a lot of money and it doesn't work.....
cheers Geo..
p.s. I've got a topic on international 2cv friends forum of this car... already _________________ 2cv running on LPG is cheaper |

I didn't mean to offend you, just trying to be helpful with a swift answer on your questions. The only wild guess i made is about the Monroe pressure, the rest is quite certain.
The SRP cylinders are sold by the company from the link provided earlier, but because they are experts in earning a bad reputation very fast, they change their name every couple of years. Names used are Chassistech, AIM industries and Airbagit.
With cylinders, the provided diameter is usually the inside diameter, in your case the rod diameter isn't important in the calculations. |
