tomorrow my girlfriend will look in a Baden Baden souvenir shop and if available she buy one sticker and i will send it to you, so you can reconstruct your "childhood" AKA350.

That would be fun!
Unfortunately the AK was sold 15 minutes after the ad was published... I never had a chance.
-Probably jut as well considering the amateur sheet metal work my dad did on the car; his first painful experiments with welding and he started out with two wrecked cars... |
unfortunately also this "old" B B sticker is sold out a long long time.
sorry and greetz

Tonights visit.
Everything appears to be there... The tank is slowly leaking fuel due to rust from the inside, other than that no rust anywhere and good hope for life :-)
Needs:
New breaks.
Probably new cylinders (32hp)
A new generator.
A new Tank.
A gray roof.
A set of original door trims.
A set of original rear indicators.
A serious cleaning inside out.
Some love and time...
My daughter Tora is now certain; "Daddy has lost his mind completely..."
Earlier today, grandpa and the kids went for a ride...

Thanks!
Nice to finally have a pragmatic project just for fun to balance the DS project.
I'm now working on the quickest possible way to get the car back on the road after 23 years in a garage.

Ha! Unfortunately not a Scania - that kind of quality would have been amazing on a normal car. (spent 7yrs working for the Scania styling dpt. those guys know durability)
The SAAB 9-3 is not much more than a tuned up Opel Astra to be honest but it takes me from A-B and back every day... and the reprogrammed alco engine offers quite an entertaining punch.
Back to the 2cv...
Trying to figure out what engine & gearbox there is on the car, It's supposed to be a 32hp engine with a 2-port Solex carb. and a Dyane gearbox (?) with centrifugal clutch... have to check the numbers next visit to the garage.
Included was also a lot of parts + an original 2-piece roof rack. _________________ >>Mikael |

Hjulius,
a very nice project you've found there...
As regards the brakes and gearbox, it's possible that this may have been a Dyane gearbox, however it now has the smaller brake drums which were used on 2CVs.

Need used original door trims...
Don't think I'll ever drop this car... enjoying the original stands and suspension fare too much. _________________ >>Mikael |
