Whereas I'm wondering how the engine can be removed, if that's required for any reason?
Not to mention that it's going to be fun trying to do any work on the brakes or gearbox, never mind what's going to happen if the original chassis ever decides to let go. That has been known to happen, iirc...
All 'A' series vehicles were designed with the body as a separate unit from the chassis, with detachable panels for ease of access or repair and it's a good idea to keep than in mind when creating a 'one-off' special.
ken.

How are you planning to feed the engine air, front grill or vents?
Keep the pics coming!

Guys, Harley/Ken, the whole front section of the KUBEL has been designed so that it can be removed by taking out 10 bolts. It will have a normal type bonnet which can be lifted to get at the oil level and brake pads etc but if anything like a clutch or gearbox is needed then the whole front end including both the wings, headlamps, front panel and front bumper will come off in one piece.
Yes Ken the chassis will rust one day but its in very good condition and before i have finished it will be undersealed with anti rust treatment.
It also wont have a roof/hood either, so i wont be taking it out in the rain much, so that should help a lot
Thanks for all the encouragement guys,
cheers, Tony. _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Oh and Harley, it will have a front panel like the original KUBEL but with some holes drilled in it to allow the air through. Also the sides of the engine area will be open so when the car is driving along it should get plenty of air (i hope ). _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Had an argument with the Girlfriend this morning, so decided to get as much done on the Kubel as posible , Result= Loads done and all ready to be towed to the British National 2CV Show .

[/img]
Built this 'A' Frame and towbar on my van so i can tow the Kubel to shows . Saved myself a fortune by making it myself.

Finished at 9:30pm and got all the wings welded on and also both sill panels. Rear panel and bonnet/boot lid next. _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

hhmmm Interesting!
I guess you'll have lots of fun the day you'll have to take the engine of
Same thing with the body part. Every is welded to the chassis...
Very nice job anyway, as always
