Well, in fact Etienne, you are really offending this time!
PP is a VERY good friend of mine, his car is still "in" to me and to some others I believe (even among moderators...), this car was ahead of its time, simple and of good taste, and that's why it stands the test of time!
I start to think that, for you, being cool and new, is looking old and crusty instead. I am asking myself what young snailler will think of your car in 25 years!...if it still there!
Etienne wrote: | Mmmhh... ok... why copy something made 25 years ago and totally "has been"?
Why not make all this work for something cooler, and new?
Will you make a channelling? |

Hope they will like anything else of course
It's not because my car is hoodride style, I don't like clean stuff. And clean doesn't mean "yellow azu"!
And I re-paint my car every 2 years, I drive 40 000 km a year, of course my car will not exist in 25 years!
It's just I really hate these 80's custom because it seems the 2cv custom scene stopped at this time.
Yes Citron Pressé was looking good at this time. It's the best one, no doubt, in the style... But gosh we're in 2007, it's time to move on...
And sorry, but for me, Citron Pressé style is totally "Village people" car...
I wish I see more new cool project and not always same things. I'm sad I have to go in beetle forum to see new good stuff... _________________ www.super2cv.com

Beetles are awful, end of.
2CV custom scene shouldnt just follow and copy Beetle scene, nothing original in that, although as i said before, its cool to take inspiration for things from any source, but theres more cool stuff out there that isnt in the VW scene.
I agree that 2cv custom scene seemed to dry up and stop in the 90's, it needs to be kept fresh (which is why i like this forum!) and people need to try new styles and ideas from all over the place. _________________

That's right, that is why I made all these links and topic about others cars... I'm so bored to see 2CV owners are just living in their own world.
But maybe we should stop make pollution on the GeitWRC topic and let's go talk about that in the "chat" section... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Etienne,
It's not that easy to explain it. However i will make as much pics as posible so you can follow how i do it. My english is very bad so you must give me some credit when i name the products by name. The first thing i'll make in fibreglass i will take pics from a to z.
About the yellow azu of P.P. i'm not going to copy hem , the car is just a insperation for me. I will follow my own style i asure you.
If it's not boring to you all i will post pics so you can follow my project. Maby the pics of the fibreglass can help sombody elese to realise his project.

Hey guys, it would be cool if GeitWRC can make a "how to" about fibreglass. Post it under "technic"and close it. Then questions about it somewhere else.
I made a howto about flaking and sent it to Jozef. He will do the same with that. That way, we can make a library of how to do things. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Cheers

okay guys i wil make a topic on fibre glass. I will make a front spoiler of a 2cv an will take pics from the beginnig to the end. I wil also take pics of the labels of the products so you can try to find it in a body shop or so. You must have a litlle patience because i am alergic to the dust of the fibre glass. I can't work more than 2 days with it. But i wil do my best. I hope the grave digger will translate it for me in english.
