Sorry, I don't understand. Do you mean wheel side with male side?
I would than say, something which fits first of all. I think that these kind of gearboxside driveshafts originally had double Ujoint wheelside driveshafts as well. That may however be very different for a original YU 2cv.

Does that make sence?

yes I ment on the wheel side when I said male part Wink

i'm not sure that the differences were that big between YU factory and others because in those yrs they would just assamble the cars not make them from zero up. I was also thinking about that U-joint thing but he said it is to complicated to find those parts (?!?), on the other hand wouldn't be smarter to fit (and shorten if neccesarry) new type of the driveshaft (I assume it works better) because he's not making a perfect restoration but trying to put a car back on the road (he's also instaling a ami6 engine that looks like old 2cv)

Okay,
well you could either shorten 2cv6 type wheelside drive shaft or get some double Ujoint ones.
If you want double Ujoint ones I may have some, however getting them to Croatia will either be expensive or take a while.

I´ll first have a look if I actually have some short double Ujoint wheelside driveshafts. Moreover you have to wait at least two weeks before I´ll be at my parents place again to check it anyway.

I´ll let you know.

tnx anyway, I think he's in no hurry because he's putting the car together for a couple of yrs now, so 2 weeks wouldn't make any difference Wink
