Finally got around to doing a few things to my own car after finishing the estate.
Replaced the engine and gearbox, new tyres all round.
Made a towbar from scratch and fitted and wired it, plus a few other welding jobs that neede doing.
Anyway this is how she used to look.
And this is how it looks now
All ready for the World Meeting now thanks to a lot of hard work from my wife Sam and my good friend Richard, cheers _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Cheers Punky.
The colours are WW2 German Army, sand, red and green as used in Normandy 1944, hence the name change = Norman-44 _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Hey Ken, i can see where youre comng from with that one .
No mate its the germans who caught my eye when i was a kid with their tanks and half tracks especially when painted in these three colours.
Did think of doing the whole car in camo pattern but that would have been too much i think.
Im pleased with how its turned out tho . _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

A sad day today guys and girls
NORMAN 44 Has been sold and was driven away tonight by its new owner, off to Great Yarmouth in Norfolk England.
Sad to see him go but just as with 'SCAR', i cant keep everything, i just dont have the room unfortunately.
Anyway, the new owner is Sam and he is a guest to this site so make him welcome when he becomes a member, he has said that he plans to attend the 2cv events, so i hope to see Norman again soon _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Hi Tony, Im here finally ! Im Loving the whole 2cv package ! the people, everything! Ive got an exterior sun visor for norman44 what has been re-named "Brum" lol. I'm also thinking about getting some pneumatic actuators on the suspension arms to raise it for speed bumps and the coast road which is very bumpy lol!
He decided to spit his spark plug out last week and stripped all the threads so now has a threaded insert in :) and im now in the process of putting him back together :) .Im also gonna change the points and condenser while hes apart ! along with all the obvious gaskets :)
Still the best car ive owned and i dont think im ever gonna get board !
hope you are all ok Tony !
Thanks again for all your help via txt etc. _________________ "Sell My 2cv? I'd rather shove wasps up my arse" |

Tony, I have thinking along the same lines for Scar, could you fit something Like air suspension working on the flick of a button? |

Hello guys, sorry to hear about the spark plug knightmare but its not the first one ive heard of doing it. Must put them in and do them up tight. Air suspension?????? hhhmmmm.
There is a car on here that has air sus fitted by its owner after a lot of research and it took him a long time to get it just right. Might be an idea to seach the readers rides section and see how he done it. Not gonna be easy tho guys. _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |
