I finally got around to making some new carpets for my 2CV tonight, out of astroturf! (Greengrocers grass maybe...)
The green clashes a little with the red vinyl but it provides a nice colorful interior against the matt black paintwork

I take your point, it was meant to be quite in your face in contrast to the flat black outside. The covers on the seats are only temporary though until they're retrimmed in a more fitting style, that will no doubt tone it down a little... _________________ Andy T

By too much, I mean too many patterns and colors:
You have the "Leopard" style dashboard with the pink, then the leopard seats, the red insides doors and for the grand final the grass carpet
That would have been better to stay with 2 colors only and 1 pattern (no leopard if possible). But I guess that everybody's choice has to be respected...

I find it nice when details/colour schemes on cars answer each other...
it makes the final product look like it was thought out as a whole. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

The original plan for the interior was red vinyl with leopardprint details, to provide a contrast from the black outside.
(The pink on the speedo is a hangover from when the car was all pink, I should get around to changing that at some point.)
The seats were planned to be in either more red vinyl or in black but I've not found a suitable material yet hence they've just got some fabric chucked over them for now.
I guess the grass maybe is a step too far...
Any more suggestions for the floor? I don't really want bare metal or the rubber mats that were there originally. _________________ Andy T

In my Hot Rod I have this on the floors, doors and ceiling.
it's really strong (designed for boats) and with a set of black seats, for example, could look good on the floors (and doors) in your car :

this guy doesn't ship abroad (well, not to france, at least) but you should be able to find someone in UK selling it. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

i like the color of your car. :)
and i agree, you need to find one!! style for your interior.
you could lower it down at the front. _________________ in rust we trust... |

Yeah - it is lower now at the front, I only did it at the weekend though so I've not got any new photos. _________________ Andy T
