In the PHOTO Section on this site there is a very short CHOPPED and CHANNELED 2cv Rat Rod. It must be posible to do it but i wonder what the seat frames attach to because the suspension springs and chassis would be inside the car with if you see what i mean.

Thanks !
I knew this one, but I was talking about a "classical" 2cv
Great this 2cv! The builder is the same that the 2cv hot rod's one, isn't it? _________________ Tibo & Rose-Yvonne

Yo
Greetings frøm Cøpenhågen (with a cråzy keybøård ) !
To my mind the nicest chopped 2cv pictured on this topic is this one :
It has a really flowing nice lovely jubbly smooth profile... very cool, I would aim for that if I were chopping my 54 (but I'm not )
Olli, I agree, a 2cv is not tricky to chop, it's got flat sides, and canvas roof... the tricky thing is. chopping it to preserve the curve...
this fifties rally car, to my mind, certainly has it...

I didn't see pix of "Six Roses" so far, and I am ashamed that I don't have too (anyway I am not allowed to post one until now), because to me it is certainly the best chopped top I saw on a 2 CV.
When Christophe Grivot asked Paul Boutin to buid it, they had to try several technics to avoid flat top and yeti skull look.
To simplify they finally slant down the rear of the top by doing a pie cut behind the wheel arch down to the rearlights panel, so that it met the dropped front part of the top somewhere near where the top of the third window is. Because this way, from the side, the two lines meet at a place of same curvatures,

Seriously, I never thought look at "Six Roses" like an example, but I just watched some pics and that's right the top chop seems to be really well done. Sad there is this weird third window and all shit around! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Yes, but period perfect! for France at the least! Glitering eighties!
Never repainted, and in perfect working order, I can't say the same about my cars... _________________ 0 to 70 in the same day! |

If it was an Olli's pic, it should be written "Olli" and not "Wrem's"
