Hello to you, international 2cv-forum :)
Glad I found something like this forum, it's a huge inspiration to see all those cool projects and photoshops from around the world :)
first an introduction of me and my cars'n'projects. I'm born in 1976, living in Norway with my wife and son, and I have some cars in my parents barn.
'64 AZU. This I bought recently. It has been standing still since '66 due to a roll when it was quite new. The chassis seems ok, the engine has low mileage but also standing still.. The body doesn't have a single bit of correct angle.. So a lot of work is needed to fix it. Since so much has to be done, it's easier to do something crazy about it, although norwegian car authority is quite hard to deal with..
'70 Ami 6 service. Also a project car. Some parts missing but its standard Ami parts. I guess I'll restore it to almost original. Not much rust :)
'71 2cv 6 with Safari-kit. Registration number U-602. Recently been putted back on road after 20 years without licence plates. Some welding has been done, and I've finally enjoyed this summer in a 2cv again. Some years since last time...
And some other non-A-models too, and some Vespa scooter projects.
Couple of pics:

It was found in a small barn not far from my hometown in the southern part of Norway. Along with an AZU (now mine), 2 Ami 8 berline(rescued by a friend), 2 Ami Super Break (rescued by another friend), and 3 GS. Everyone used earlier as daily drivers, and some of them stored outside which lead to a lot of rust..
Due to norwegian car tax, a car like Ami Service was cheaper than Berline. Although not many Ami were sold in Norway. This survived thanx to the engine failed in an early stage and was stowed away as a spare car for the white one you see in the background (Also a Service!). The white is totally rusted in body and frame, lots of parts missing, and I think it is now sent to scrapyard.. _________________ '71 2cv 6 · '74 Ami Super Berline · '70 Ami 6 Service (project) · 2(3) AZU projects · 2cv since '93 · C5 v6.24 · GPicasso 2.0 hdi · 307cc |

Some updates here from far up north..
Have got some used parts for my Ami 6 Service, thanks to a swedish guy who was kind enough to sell me some parts. The plan is to prepare a gearbox and engine within a couple of months for this, and have a look at the brake and electric system as well. The electrics is a mess, don't know if I have a complete set yet.
The last month I've got myself not only one but two 1974 Ami Super, one is running but needs floor welding in front, and the other one is a spare part car with potential to be a running car some day. Quite a lot of rust in body though, but OK frame. The spare part car is one of the first produced before july'74 without stripes on the side and no holes in the rims. Since there's only 3 running Ami Super in Norway at the time, it means these are very rare, along with any other Ami up here.
The crashed AZU has got some parts as well, actually I've got a rusty body so I can mix them together to get one running car. But this will take some time and has no priority at the time. Both are stored inside.
A pic of my Super, taken a couple of years ago:
Would Minilite-rims with Michellin 135-15 look good on a Super, or is it too much? _________________ '71 2cv 6 · '74 Ami Super Berline · '70 Ami 6 Service (project) · 2(3) AZU projects · 2cv since '93 · C5 v6.24 · GPicasso 2.0 hdi · 307cc |
