Hi!
The carburetor is from early visa (no electric).
Yesterday I replased original air box with free filter. And I drilled that smaller jet a little bit wider but not enough I think.
1. throad works quite ok, maybe a little bit too lean.
2. throad changes basicly only noise... far too lean from right mixture.
So, next step is to find 130 for 1. throad (I'll keep 130 on second). _________________ Regards

Thanks for the tip.
You have 602 instead of 652? I just pickup set of bits for jet tuning. At least 1.3mm is in the set.
Anyway this is funny. I had similar feelings when I tuned my moped (50cc motorcycle). It was almost 30 years ago... I feel young again _________________ Regards

Hi!
I took 1,5 hour quality time in my garage and did some jet tuning. After a few test drives I had combination 116 main jet and 126 secondary jet. This works quite nice at least to 90km/h (tested on small road).
Those strange sizes comes from my drill bits.
Tomorrow I will test top speed when I drive to work... _________________ Regards

dieselflosse,
If you run out of jets to drill, maybe try your local motorcycle dealer...
There are replacement jets for Mikuni carbs, with the same calibration system as Solex carbs and the same thread size as the secondary petrol jet.
It's also possible to tap (M5 x 0.8 ) that hole used for the small primary jet so that you only need one type of jet for both carb barrels.
Ken
( Almost forgot, they do not cost much either. 2.5 ukp = 3 Euro each ) |

Hi!
The high speed test said that I need to change main jet to 120, and maybe secondary to 125 (just for geting rid of tinned versions...).
I sent a request to Finnish 2cv buffs for finding those jets. And an alternative for that channel is to go shopping with sample jets. I believe to find right ones. _________________ Regards

No real progress so far. Except cleaning of old fashion hood. I have welded a new hinge and sand the paint away from it.
The hood was quite rusty next from the hinge too. So I am not totally satisfied the welding result... Maybe I will find out something different with that last 5 cm of the hood. _________________ Regards
