Haven't had to change the inner arch much

Beater picture of the rear panel

Wider tyres look good on the back and fit under the arch

Was thinking of not having arches on the back just have the wheels showing

Seat belt mounts both in and filled in one of the 3rd windows

you may finish before me then, cos I'm at work till Thursday Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I used a few speakers, to hold the metal out flush with the body, whilst I put in a few tacks with the welder.

I'm not going to weld all the way around like you have, I've put a few tacks in to hold it in place, that's where I'm at now, but I intend to fill in on the inside with sikoflex, then a thin smear of filler on the outside (thinking of hunting down some plastic padding elastic).

I hope it doesn't bloody rain, cos it's my daily driver, and it'll piss in Laughing Laughing

I would weld it all the way round over wise as soon as you go over a bump the body will flex and it will crack

sikoflex is bloody good stuff, it's what they use to bond quarter panels on, an inch of sikoflex at the rear of the panel, pushed into the gap will probably move less than a welded panel, and certainly wont crack!

if I combine it with PP elastic, it should be fine!!

did you shape/curve the insert ? because that area of the body on a 2cv originally with no 3rd window is not flat Wink

I used very thin steel (I know it'll be more prone to flexing later Embarassed)
I tacked at the upper front and worked down and back, letting the sheet flex for the slight taper rearwards.

what's your plan for indicators?

it's also curved.

you'll probably see what I mean once the car is painted.

If anyone is feeling brave to do this mod nicely I have a set of offcuts from a 50s 2cv body available
