Hi,
at last I found this forum. I'm from finland, got this "virus" in year 1993 when my friend took me to look some funny cars in 10th World Meeting in Nurmes. And about month later I bought my Dyane...
In my Dyane has been many kind of technical modifications, starting from standard 435cc engine to little tuned Visa with Gs gearbox... And now there is fuel injection(ih "almost" standard 602cc engine), at first with Jetronic and waiting for Megasquirt. Also four wheel drive -project is going forward, but very slowly...
But most fun I had with Olli's AzuSuper -project, I feel again myself little boy with new toys..! Thanks to Olli that I could be with this project were we make one of the coolest 2cv in Finland..!
Photos are coming later... |

It's not so rusty what it was... before changing floors to new...
But the outfit, somewhere these driven over half a million kilometers must show..? And winters in Finnish roads, with plenty of salt (for melting snow/ice, can't understand why), not nice... |

Hi Jasu
Road salt also melts cars, unfortunately...
I'm lucky to have none around here

JoZeF, thats why I don't drive with Dyane anymore in winters, and that was main reason for massive rust...
I think people in south enough cannot even imagine how bad condition floors etc. can be in our winters. Maybe more than ten times Yours worst nightmares..? I'm little bit jeallous to you there...
And what is reason why we rebuild these rust-buckets back to the road? Our regulations and taxing system, what is limitting to change parts... Almost every part can be calculated by percents of original-car and absolutely maximum what you can change is 49,9% and after that your car is "new" with new car regulations with emissions, noise, safety and so on... |

Was it so rusty..?
I took this seat belt apart from body without any tools. Just pull it away... Over half a million kilometres, many winters in with salted roads, and at last three years with wet grass without driving...

Maybe You have waited enough..?
Some problems was with idle speed, it raised suddenly from 1000 to 2500rpm and pretty soon after that I could drive over 100km/h without hitting gaspedal...
So, there was only "small" hole on inlet manifold...
Fuel injector bracket's welding was scrapped..? So, it need only to weld back...
This has worked very well, fuel consumption is less than 6l/100km, and ti is very comfortable to drive. I just don't miss any carburators...
But this isn't only what is "happened" in past couple years for this, not much but something...
Changed GS-hubcaps to ID-hubcaps...
..and I got this from my friend, he told it is hard to find any kind on adapter to any car, so I thought to 2cv it must be impossible...
So, why don't just make one, then nobody hasn't like same..?
And there it is, pretty nice I think..? _________________ Make it today, tomorrow it's probably illegal... |

Hey Jasu, nice to see an update on your car!
I remember when i first found this forum and realised you can convert a 2cv to EFI, i spent hours looking at your pics to figure out how you did it .
I agree i do not miss the Carby at all
My current mission is to now convert to injected LPG, just need to figure out how to get around the certification laws in Australia and also how to machine an appropriate trigger wheel to run off the Cam...
Anyway, keep us up to date
