Cool to see you're thinking about a 2cv.
I don't like chopped up 2cvs much, but I've see worse pick ups than this one.
Not sure about the photoshop logo but I'm sure something could be done with this car.
any info on the cabin ? homemade ? _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

I've always been interested in 2CV, particularely the coupes, but I'm also looking for an economic pick up.
That's why this one attracted my attention : 2CV+pick up = cool and cheap ride !
Most french pick up are ugly because they got no rear fenders (203, simca8, prairie...) but this one has, and they're not so bad looking.
Are they made of steel ? Don't know yet...
Don't know more than the price, about 2500 €, I'm gonna call the owner for more infos.
About the LOA sticker, I'm not a photoshop expert and it was easier for me to hide the biker drawing with a logo... _________________ no 2cv... just curious... |

Hmm
well I do think it's got something to say for itself...
I don't suppose you've got better pictures ?
There's a bit of work on it, however, but some stylish mods would make it look really cool (you would need different bumpers for a start)
I did these cheesy photoshop of a 2cv pickup a few months ago :
for some guy who found a 2cv that had been vaguely cut into a PU but retaining original rear end shape...
the cabin reminds me of this green one... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

1 - Stock
2 - Dropped
3 - Dropped and chopped rear (benne en anglais ?)
4 - Dropped, chopped rear and cabin
The fourth is the best for me. May be a nice set of rims ?
The only news I have on this car is that the work had been done by a coach-builder teacher, which is quite reassuring about the quality of work.
More infos as soon as they come ! _________________ no 2cv... just curious... |

First think I would do, would be removing those rear fenders, they are awfull
First, if you wanna use 2cv fenders on back in some weird modification DONT
remake the shape, it just cant get better. Second, whit square boot like this
those closed fenders makes back look visually too heavy.
Cabin is sure home made but looks quite nicely made.
Also I 'm not fan of these stock beetle style side steps under doors.

I wouldn't cut the roof... I think it would look cool enough just dropped to maximum. and as Olli said too, it looks quite nicely done. I wonder if it is metal ? for god's sake don't open it to put a 2cv soft roof
but the pick up bed chop makes it nicer looking.
Something like original rear fenders would be better, I agree with Olli on that one.
But you've got a nice base there. for once.

I think the rear end it's a bit to long, but maybe it's optical better with the original fenders in place. |

True
it looks kinda AK400 length. AZU length could be better. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

The cabin is really short. I hope you're not tall Pablo!
Yeah, there is maybe something to do with this car, some work on the rear part... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

I can only agree with my colleagues that:
-the cabin looks cramped. I am 1.96m and have been in a Burton/Duckhunt pickup conversion, which has more room behind the b-pillar and that's already claustrofobic. Although on that car, the roof is about 15-20 cms lower. It would help to put in a rear window, makes it more light inside.
-the metalwork looks very well done. The curves are all nice and sharp.
-Original rear fender would look better, I'd change that first and then see if the bed needs chopping (length or height)
-It could be a real cool car with a little work.
Buy it, chop it up, drive the hell out of it. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

an original 2cv rear fender wouldn't fit. At the rear they bend a bit to the middle of the car (where it is more narrow) while the pick-up rear is square. I think that is the reason why they made another one and also the reason why it looks a bit odd. _________________ look for "sundive live" on youtube and be startled by my weird musical mind |

Yep, but you could easily weld a piece to cure the "bend in" syndrome of the rear fender.
Claustrophobic cause you didn't like the atmosphere or claustrophobic cause you didn't comfortably fit in the car ? The cabin looks as long as an AZU cabin (looks like where the AZU passenger cabin floor stops and the loading cabin starts they built the rear of this pick up cabin, I would be surprised if this was originally a real van, hence the metal roof.
if you 194 you can't top chop this. but you could weld in a strip of metal to lengthen the cab, maybe.
My hot rod is OK for 180 people, you just stretch out when you fill up. depends if you're planning on doing 30 000 km a year with this car if you buy it. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Dude! 180 people? It must be huge!
You are right about the bend-in, easily fixed. This is a custom forum, after all. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.
