You should take the 206CC badge off the pug and rearrange it for the 2cv! _________________

OK guys, this is on eBay at the moment
any idea's how high I should bid on it? I would dearly like it for my project but I do not have infinite funds and I do have a good bonnet from Shedspeed plus a mate in France has found this
it has been attacked by the tin worm but I'm not sure of its overall condition yet until he gets it into his barn.
Shedspeeds bonnet will not be wasted as I seem to have found myself the owner of parts of another 2 CV (free) that may(will) become the basis of a mad roadster style car.
So how high would you say is a reasonable price for the blue bonnet or should I just sit back and wait until I get my hands on the rusty one ??
Cheers for your help in advance, one slightly mad but totally addicted 2cv freak _________________ In-the-Shed Speed Shop. |

Hi Shaun, I wouldn't worry about that ripple bonnet in France it seams no good. It is bended between the headlight bar holes and bended at the hinge.
This is what I can see from the picture, I'm afraid that once you got it in your garage and clean the rust of there won't be must bonnet left.
The other bonnet doesn't look too bad, although details are difficult to judge from the pictures. They did have modifed the grill a bit on that ebay one though. I saw they ask 30 pounds for it on ebay, is that right? that is not a bad price I think. Here in the Netherlands they ask 150 up to 200 euros for a resonable ripple bonnet.
Hope this helps a bit.
Cheers, Bart |

First thing you should do is define clearly your project Pantershaun...
The ripple bonnet may look older but, my opinion is the "new" bonnet" is really better designed and fit better to the 2CV...
The price for ripple bonnet in France is around 100/150 euros when it's in ok condition (no big damaged but small work to do). _________________ www.super2cv.com |
