I've recently moved to France (Le Mans). I've been sucked in looking at GSs and GSAs on leboncoin, so I thought I'd post some pictures of my last Citroen, an AX14D that I put a 1500 Diesel in to go on holiday a year ago.

We had a blow out just before the picture above - you can still see the marks from the spare wheel holder on the back wheel There was a 50p sized hole in the sidewall of the old tyre. That was the only mechanical problem we had in 5400 miles over 16 days.
The car had been dumped outside a bodyshop with a blown head gasket for 3 years previously.

This was it when I bought it - I'd just got it running for the first time (still with the knackered engine though)

I'd recommend a Diesel to anybody. They are literally fantastic. We had 75mpg out of it full of stuff and 2 people Plus they're worthless, which is high on my list of priorities! I wanted a pre-facelift (they're so much better looking!) but they're as rare as rocking horse poo in Sheffield.
I took great pride in not washing it before we went away so it was still covered in moss and mold on the outside |

Looks as though that AX was originally registered in Kingston upon Hull.
Guess it enjoyed its trip to sunnier climes...
