All Ami 8 have reclinables front seats, as the last Ami 6 club. And Ami super's seats are the same as Ami 8... _________________ I'm a Rod Breaker

Bugger me.
Yep, you're right (I welded mine on Scars on Wheels this summer )
But AMI Super seats are not the same.
They have a lever system to recline the seats... not a screw system like AMI 8... I'm pretty sure of that. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

The screw system has been put on from first ami 8 (and latest Ami 6 club) to the presentation of the Ami Super in 1973. At this date, it began a lever system _________________ I'm a Rod Breaker

Until now I only has found an ami8 front benh but I don't think that you could lay this down? | Hello Robin,
AFAIK all Ami6/8/Super Break rearbenches are able to lay down, BUT you could not remove the back without mdifications.
I have nerver ssen an Ami8 with front bench. The had allways 2 seperated seats - even the 3 door Breaks 'Service' (Tolee, Vitree).
How to get A model rear benches 'reclinable':
» grind down the 'rivet' (bolt's head) which keeps bench and back together.
» remove the bolt.
» narrow 2 oppsite sides/areas parallel.
» weld the bolt.
» Open/cut the 'eye' of the back.
Pay attention to get the right direction. I did it in the way that I have to press down the back to remove/install the back --> it does not come out at once/alone. Grind/file the slot carefully to keep it as narrow as possible
» ready. lay back on bench, find the 2 slots. Press down.
» Turn up. If you worked accurate the back is as stiff as original.
» Bench with removed back:
I hope this manual helps or give you an input. :)
