We are competing in the dB-Drag world, struggeling to get over 140 dB off pure bass (all below 70 HZ) and lovin' it, lol

quality stuff.!

love looking at this sort of stuff. ive seen a lot of the dutch guys stuff, but most when i was pretty young. a few with some very silly looking subwoofers. way to big but look good.

we need to get an event where we get all cars together and create a big disco, in england most people at camps disagree with this. we got told off to last time becasue we were to loud.

i dont agree with loud music all the time (going through towns and driving at night) i hate it when you see people wih music pumping when they drive through towns. Mad

Well, i feel the same way. Not to mention, driving arround in the neighbourhood, displaying your install, is a little tempting for those out there who get stuff without paying for, if you know what i mean........

I have always loved quality music, also in home. I have always been saving up cash to buy something that was good, not only something that was easy to get. We haven been going to shops, listening to systems, different speaker setups, before we figured out what to buy. That took us nearly half a year.

In the car-audio, well, there is 2 ways i look at it.

1. the one i like most. Making it sound as good as possible wit minimum cash. Ok, i have to admit, when i got more cash, i spend more on audio, but still, i like it when i get quality sound by buildig cases and boxes that get the most out of the speaker, instead of just mounting them in the car.

2. The show effect. Well, quality is good, specially for driving, but when you are at a meeting, and people know what your game is, they are not amazed by sheer quality. So, i do go the extra mile, and got interested in big bass. And it is fun to be at a meeting, and blow some guys with expensive installs away in something as basic as a 2cv, lol.

So, i bassicly run 2 systems in my 2cv. (nowerdays, it can change over night here, lol)

I have my basic system, a 4 channel amplifier, that puts out 400 watts to a little 10 inch woofer, enclosed in a 12 liter case, with no ports. And the front setup, wich are those "kickpanels" wich get "just" 150 watts per side. And trust me, those who get in my 2cv are amazed what this set-up can do (even the manufacturer was, because al is installed in so small boxes, that it would be out of the question to build it like this, but by trial an error i found the way to make this set go very good in this small boxes)
This system is just for driving arround, just to listen to good music, and is set up to sound like it is suppost to sound, not to much bass, and a sparkling mid/high.

The second system, wich has the same front set. has a 2 channel 1200 watt amplifier, wich powers the 15 inch or 12 inch subwoofer i use for competing. I shut of the 10 inch woofer, place the box containing the 12 or 15 inch woofer on top, and hook it up. And, press play. Then i have that bass pumping machine what is not good to be inside of.

The green 2cv, that is my friends car. He is still young, has no kids (i do, so i need to be creative with space) so that is a only bass pumping machine, lol. The next plans for that car are in the making, and involves an extra amplifier to get power to 15 inch subwoofer (mine in fact tht will be in his car). So, that will be 2 simular monoblocks, hooked together to get the woofer the 2400 watts it wants to get louder.

Ow, and we don't stop by putting in stuff, we also spend a great deal of time making the electrical system getting allong with this power abuse. That means, getting enough batteries to power all this.

And, we put in leadmats in the car, to make it stop resonating things we dont want to move. After all, in the DB-world, that is loss of pressure that we need to get high scores. So, we are also looking for a polyester roof, to get rid of the flappy roof that costs us about 4 dB.

Well, i could go on for some more time, lol, i love it.

If there is something someone needs to ask me, please do.
