That one already needs some good welding ... sills, C-pillars, trunk. And if you buy an Ami 8 be sure to check the roof construction, that's the most horrible place if that's crispy. And 700 euros without any welding is a bit optimistic ... get a more expensive one or keep the AX.

Yeah, that's "impossible" to mend, well... that is, if you're thinking of selling the car after you've done the job, or, more expensively, had the job done...
I doubt any metalman would accept to fix that sort of thing on such a car... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Indeed and to do it properly you have to take the roof off. Easiest with a break or a six ... |

Keep in mind that you'll always have some money to spend to have it reliable. People rarely sell their Ami for 700 euros when it just had a new clutch, tires, shocks and engine overhauled. Ami's need a garage at night, 2cv's and Dyane's have a better structure for bad weather. Still not good, but better than an Ami ... |

Hi
A friend of mine has a 1977 AMI Break for sale
It is in good condition, bodywise, and runs and stops fine.
He wants 550 euros for it, maybe 500.
He is in Saint Jean d'Angély France.
It's kinda far, but the car is nice.
Bye

I don't want to put you off but the ami at customs and classics is a lot of work. I looked at it and decided against it. Would be better as a parts car. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.
