I've seen it some times on a VW Bug. Looks pretty good if your engine looks good. Wink

Nooooo.... I think it looks so stupid!!
Why use a hood if you want show you engine!?? It's a non-sens!!
Use none or ues a regular one!!

But I think it's fun to see that in early 50's! It goes well with this time! Very Happy

Chromed engines, tuck & roll interiors. clear plastic hood, these are definitely show rods.

It seems to me the crossover from race to show started with the Pierson Bros coupe. These guys had a first with a lakes racer that paid attention to looks as well.

Radically chopped, raked windshield, the nose of a dirt track car and the first with special paint. The underside of the car is completely streamlined as well.

This 34 is really fine. It shows how you get effective car whit few right
choises. In 2cv you can get good result whit small mods. Many times I see
the broblem is that people thinks that small things does not matter. That
is totally wrong, all small things are what makes good entirety.

Here is one:

Here is one and I dont think its worst thing here. I dont like those kitshy
flames and intake tubes. I dont know how much engine can move because
those holes for intake does not look so big.
