Nothing is impossible, some things to do is just much difficulty than others...

I think there is no reason to use Visa gearbox, because GS gearbox is almost same lenhgt when using Visa clutch bellhousing. Some photos of Visa bellhousing in GS gearbox...

There is some difference between these boxes, GS has "better" bearings in outputshafts (for the forces what brakes make), Visa has smaller driveshaft bolts (not sure, try to remember...). This bearing difference may make problem in hard braking, I think gearbox will break if use Visa box...

I can scan some pictures from service manual when I get it back...

No you're not mad, it was initially about carbs...

Patrick, in the interest of keeping things understandable, can you please avoid editing your posts and totally changing the subject.

If you have more than one question, that is not a problem, it actually IS possible to post more than one here (it is also encouraged)

Thanks

Any pics of your car ?

Bye

visa/LNA gearbox has shorter ratios than GS gearbox, that's why it's more suitable for tuned 652 engine on 2cv. there is great info on this topic on Jeroen Cats' site. I have one LNA gearbox, and it has holes for fitting gs brakes (without threads, which are easy to make). visa gearbox doesn't have these holes.
