How did you get past the annoying fact that the Smart turbo's exhaust housing is the same casting as the exhaust manifold..?
I don't want to spend money and time building something that will only work at 5000 rpm and above and last one summer before a rebuild. |
You can read it all at the international 2cv friends forum, I made a topic of it..

Here's the first post with some pics of construction (sorry if I spoil someones topic....
Here are the first picture's of "the making of" a 2cv turbo with a Smart turbo and intercooler so far.
If you don't want to read the whole topic here's a video from the result...

The Smart engine is also 600 cc like a 2cv so the turbolag is little
The 2cv is already running on Megasquirt (KDFI) on LPG. witch is a free programmable injection and ignition device.
The throttlebody is from a Chevrolet Matiz (38mm)
I'm planning to make an air inlet in the hood for the intercooler thats why its on topso high.

Me or lpgo? I have no idea how much power its going to produce. Probably I will run it on dyno when I get it ready. I might try to get it run on RE85 also. |

It is obviously not professional nor ideal, but you could make a rough estimation about if you TC suits a 602 with the graph here:
