It's more hard but not so hard. When you take a turn it's like the original.
Much lower = less bends = hard steering |

Nice project, i played with the same idea but ditched it because of the extra vulnerability of the air cylinders, mounted in this position.
Your damper mountings could do with a little bracing, if your dampers are working, i'm quite sure the mounts will break eventually. |

If you connect an extra bar (support) between the 2 mounts, then you'll be fine.
Like people do on their raid cars.
Just a metal plate of 5mm thick, about 250mm or 300mm hight and your lenght you've got to mesure of course.

Because the cylinders stick out under the chassis, the risk of damaging them is bigger than when mounted in standard spring location. |

I understand and to prevent accidental collision with the ground I use two of these:
So when I'm riding I can't hitting the ground.
Obviously I can exclude these valves to do something like this:

Couldn't you just extend your bump stops?
For example with a long circular headed bolt? not sure if that makes sense but the picture in my head does! |

One 0 to much indeed! needs to be 25mm or 30mm! |

can be left and right, up and down separately
but I have the impression that this is not going to really low, think mine is lower at the front. and I'm still driving with the original,
mss remove the bump stop away. |

I'm thinking about air ride in my 2cv 4x4. Can you tell us where youre air cylinders are comming from, how much pressure they need to raise the car and diameter.
I'm planning to use Monroe Ma828 but I think I will need 2 on 1 wheel.... _________________ 2cv running on LPG is cheaper |

Unfortunately the company/owner (and some of it's employers) aren't very trustful and the quality of their products is quite low, as can be found on different forums.
The cylinders are made in China, i would advise to try to order them directly from China, and have the mounting connections made metric and connections for air BSP.
I suppose the Monroes work the other way around, and just made as a helper for the main suspension. |

Sorry to spoil your topic but I am making my own chassis with axle going onderneath the chassis and pushrod on top, push insted of pull, so Monroe
will work at my chassis but are they strong enough???? thats why I want to know how much pressuse you need to raise the car....
p.s at the pic the rear arms are not changed, now they are...
