hey guys

due to lack of time, and the distance now involved long term, I'm in need of selling my current project.

It's the rebirth of Pete Sparrows AMI Super 1500 TI (but without the ugly colours Laughing)

What you get :

Restored chassis, blasted primered and painted, as seen in SOG topic, Boge green shocks, new brakes (calipers (super expensive) and cylinders). An AMI 8 berline shell, complete with all accessories (bumpers, headlights etc) it only has rust on the sills, the rest of the body is in excellent condition (floors, boot, rear wheel arches, roof, excellent rear fenders...)

Engine heads are restored and timing belts kit is new. Clutch is new.

It is partly adapted to the chassis, so that I could do the mock up for all the pedals, gearshift, steering assembly, front face brackets, fan bracket etc etc) it just needs slightly lifting, to put the foam strips (supplied) and bolted back on.

I cleaned the underside of the car with the traditional wirebrush on angle grinder, and then treated it with FEROSE and painted it with heavy duty rustproof paint.

I rebuilt a pedal assembly from a kitcar pedal box.

3 master cylinders are required : 1 for clutch, one for rear brakes, one for front brakes these cost about 20 euros new on ebay. + braided hose line

The wiring needs to be adapted for the ignition module, gauges, and fan.

And the car needs to be put back together.

I took no photos while working on it, I have a friend who has some I'm waiting for.

Overal an easy project to finish, I'm just stuck and can't see myself finishing over 2 or 3 years Crying or Very sad You can have all the extra AMI 8 parts I've got that you may need, not planning on rebuilding one any time soon.

1100 euros.

See the original, back in the days on the link below. I ran into those just yesterday on the I2F forum.

Jozef, do you still have the V5 with it and does it mention the Alfa engine and it size, or is it officially still a normal ami super?

Cheers, Bart

No one ever got round to having the V5 updated so it is still officially a blue 1015 cc AMI Super

there are all those photos and more in the topic about the car in the Rides section

But it doesn't look one bit like that anymore Laughing

Excellent condition body.

Here you can check out engine bay, and several custom made supports for the required extra items. WIth a good exhaust system this is a totally cool sleeper... tight fit but no stretching and no holes in bonnet.

for improved gearshift I replaced sloppy Alfa rubber mounted gearshift system by GSA on teflon ball.

Excellent floors etc, except sills, unfortunately. Damaged by mud retaining door seals... usual event on AMIs...

Track car pedal box, modified to fit.

For Sale once more,

Almost all as above, except now has brakes with a fucking big servo.

I don't have enough time for a 2cv, 2cv race car, Saxo track car, a job, an education and this.

I'd also like some space.

Crying or Very sad

Cheap.
