But why carry a 4WD transmission and never being able to use it ? I just wonder... I can also carry a dead pig in my trunk for fun. And it's not because I will be the only one with a dead pig in my trunk than it's gonna be cool. I just would like to hear the owner point of view on that 4WD, that's it... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

This is totally different ! Rally cars, Audi Quattro, BMW Xdrive have permanent AWD systems. These are sophisticated and have nothing to do with a 2 CV 4WD transmission like this one...
Have you ever drive a Voisin 2 CV ? I did. It can drive 4WD on mud, on snow, maximum 40km/h and you have to nearly stop to go from 2 to 4WD; and anyway you cannot drive 4WD on the road. So please, guys, just think ?
The best 2 CV 4WD transmission I know is the Perret one. It can be used until 100km/h; but again not on dry road.
So, again Christian, any explanation on why do you want a lowered 4X4 2 CV ? Ice racing ? _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Oooh, such arrogance
There has been no mention of gearing plans (or engine, come to that) yet. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

I live in the mountains (Auvergne) and whilst the roads are cleared, there's still a nasty layer of ice, you're unlikely to get stuck in a snow drift, but you are very likely to get stuck on Ice on an uphill bit of road in the shade! (to be honest the 2cv laughs it off in most cases!)! but it's not the rough stuff that stops traffic, it's just a bit of polished ice on an uphill slope, a couple of clueless drivers, and a fully laded HGV and the road is fucked!
I'm not digging at the wagon drivers, at the end of the day if it won't move then it won't move! I have enormous respect for truck drivers!
the list of poor drivers would block up the forum!
don't start me!! I'd love to rant _________________ if it aint broke, fix it till it is |
