Oh, that part...
I decided some time ago that I will produce only parts that are not in production else where or that are not produce in good quality .
You can see on my catalogue also some parts that is on market - like 2cv floors etc. But I keep producing that anyway.
Parts like flat rear panels are available from other producers. All 3 types.
But I also produce parts like back intermediate crossmember for AK400. It is available cheaper on market, good product but bad dimensions and this part is advertised as same part for AK400 and AZU . That is not correct. AZU part is different in dimensions so one can not use AK400 part for AZU vehicle.
Also I produce back inner wing for AK400. It is complete part so you can immediately install that part in vehicle. Price is 350 eur ... that sound maybe expensive but ...
In shops around EU you can buy AK400 inner wing that is only skin part without attachments and price is 399 eur. And that part is also hand made somewhere in EU.
I have this policy when I decide to reproduce some part for Citroen than first I track down and buy original citroen NOS part. Than I make patterns from that NOS part and also I copy all attachments . So, my parts are hand made and not so nice than parts made on presses. But my parts fits better and considering that ... less working hours when fitting my parts is less expense on restoration process.
I produce parts in small quantity's and therefor it is more expensive for produce and less earnings for me. But, hey... I am 2CV enthusiast after all |

This first one :
And the third one (april 1964-february 1970) :
are not reproduced... (The first one actually is by very few people). We can only find the second and the 4th one (the last one for big rear lights). _________________ www.super2cv.com |

If you're start producing the panel as azurblade describes, remember the support inside like 50's 2cv have. And maybe not neccesary to use 0.8mm steel on these panels?
Btw, very happy with the 0.8mm Ami sills I bought _________________ '71 2cv 6 · '74 Ami Super Berline · '70 Ami 6 Service (project) · 2(3) AZU projects · 2cv since '93 · C5 v6.24 · GPicasso 2.0 hdi · 307cc |

Hi 2cvkeza,
I just found your topic and I think you are a real craftsman..... I know by now that making good parts by hand is a hefty task.
Referring to my own project (Barbot), is it possible to order some special products?

Thanks Harley,
I was thinking 'how can he deliver such material in such quantities to those resellers like Burton?'
You know that I'm working on the Barbot and the rough outlines are almost completely identified. This means that by now I 'almost' exactly know how the Barbot was/is build....
I will keep this car as it is, entirely build on a 51 car (including all the original parts, bits and pieces) and intended to be the nearest you can get to the original.
But! With only a dry weight of some 360Kg's I'am thinking of building a replica from all new material with a supercharged/injected 2cv6 engine. If they can supply me the parts based on my 3D files than it would be splendid.
I know you live Down Under but how is their pricing? _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge (Einstein) |

Haha! Then he's really unhuman... (and verry, verry talented)..
Please send me his emailadress. I'm now building a partslist based on what the Club de Cassis has to offer but they don't have everything and the parts they have still need a lot of reworking. _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge (Einstein) |
