Had some carpet left over and made a floor for the luggage compartment. The floor rests on the spare wheel. I made a recess in the floor by drillling a 10 cm diameter hole for the protruding center of the wheel, covered the floor with a thinner board and then covered with carpet.

Now I also know where I'm going to place that old five litre petrol tank that has been waiting on a shelf for a suitable project - now I just need two small brackets and a leather belt to tie it down. - Yup, love to tinker with those details...

Made the door panels (all the way up panels) - damn difficult to find red vinyl that would match floor and seats (that don´t match up perfectly either) - that the textures are very different makes it even more difficult. But I think its close enough now.

woooh! that's red.

I recognise your fuel can, I have something similiar (more rounded, but still flat on the bottom) same general size, and from the look I'd guess same make.
I believe it's a fuel can for petrol (petroil/paraffin) heaters.

and yes it makes for a cool fuel can in my eyes Cool

Hmmm - the fuel can in the same red flake as the steering wheel... maybe next winter.

Well, since last I've kept myself busy overhauling the steering assembly. The interior is almost finished - one front seat to go.

I have also extended the gear rod by 90mm - with the seats lowered and pulled back because of the channelling suddenly my right arm was too short to shift to fourth without me having to lean forward - its gotta be comfortable to ride...

OK - here are photos of the dash and the front seats. The red on the seats are a bit darker than in the photos.

Nearly there now - on with the wings and hood and voila, this winter's work done well in time for spring. And it feeeels good.

I'm thinking of buying myself a French made (French army surplus) flathead V8 (Ford) and start from there - then I guess some kind of T23 Rod will evolve from that... depending on what parts I find along the way. :-) (maybe I can add som pictures on this thread even though its not 2CV - but don't tell anyone...)

Well - bought myself a Ford Model A instead of a V8 engine. Its a Fordor 1930 - will make a nice family rod (the kids hated the idea of a T23 when we visited Hot Rod Hayride...). It's mechanically restored but if I keep the four banger it will need some serious tuning...
