Any specs for the engine? Genuine Honda or Chinese clone?

I like that, it's very simple & clean. Well cool!

The engine has a Honda stamp on it.. I will have to ask but I assume it is the GY6;
157QMJ 149.6 cc 8.6 hp (6.4 kW) at 7,000 rpm
57.4 × 57.8 mm (2.26 × 2.28 in)
8.8:1
Surprisingly low compression given that the 125cc is 9.2 and the 50cc is 10.5 .

The builder has had it at 140km/h on the track, gps, and was seconds slower than a much larger guy, 6"1' 95kgs, on the same bike, but he was an ex moto gp champ...

Cool

Its not the gy6, this is a 4 speed honda clone engine, used for chinese dirtbikes.
Not sure if its a 2 valve or 4 valve version.

fits most of all honda fourstroke mopeds, i had a 125cc version on my honda c50 moped, but the topspeed was about 100/110 km/h, and the police here in holland are not so happy with this sort of speeds, so now i have a 72cc.

Thanks

the tank and tank cap is OG Yamaha 1974.

it's just a 2001 Yamaha TW125, lowered suspension, modified wiring, changed the lights, adapted a trailor mudguard on the back, adapted the tank, home made seat, hidden electrics and home made exhaust with a cone silencer on the back.

Built in 3 weeks, in order to get back used to using a gearbox on a scoot, 'cause I'm planning on taking my test soon. I have a much nicer project in the garage but despite it's old age and poor performance it requires a full bike licence to use so...

that tank does wonders for it Cool

try hopping from Jap to Brit, the gear lever changes side, many a time I've trod on the brake pedal to cog down (oddly I've never trod on the gear lever to brake Confused)

hmmm, let's see

1) it's a hardtail
B) max v=52km/h
lll) I have a shitload of stuff including one more moped (that yellow one http://s2.pticica.com/foto/0001269020_l_0_oodj0h.jpg)
4) I have to transport 2 more persons + dog

unfortunately not this time...BUT the coincidence is that I was just 2 days ago talking about that with a few friends - to take small slow smelly loud 2 stroke toys and set of to the seaside over a weekend at the end of this summer Wink
