Hi. I'm Shaun and new to this 2 CV thing. I am currently building a 1958 Ford Pop Hotrod pickup, I'm also building a tuned Indian 741 special, Panther trike and restoring a Velo Solex moped.
My every day vehicles are a 1962 Series 11A Land Rover and a 1963 Panther M120 Bobber. A mate has sent me a couple of pictures of Hotrodded 2 CV's and I am hooked. I really fancy building a Bonnie salt flat style chopped and lowered 2 CV so I guess this is the place to be. Kustom Bart put me onto this forum so I thank you sir.
I am now off for a look around, if anyone can tell me where the orange ratrod style 2 CV is I would be grateful.
I suppose I should also mention that I co own a new magazine called BritChopper which is all about everything with an engine from all over the world despite its name and I am always on the lookout for interesting and crazy vehicles, eh Bart |

Hey, Panthershaun, see you made your way to our gathering of 2CV nutjobs. Welcome!
Your list of vehicles sounds pretty impressive. Post some pictures, if you get a chance (you will have to wait for a few days and have at least 5 posts before the forum allows you to post pictures though). Meanwhile, have a look around .
Do you mean this red primered ratrod?

Thanks guy's, Bart the list may sound impressive but most of them are in bits.
The Indian is a war department engine that has been bored and stroked to 750cc fitted into a custom frame (made by the editor of the mag)
The Panther trike is still just an idea and a pile of bits which include a Panther main frame & engine, Royal Enfield girder forks, Albion hand change gear box with 3 forward gears and 1 reverse, 1930's disabled carriage chain drive rear diff and Austin 7 wire wheels.
The Ford Pop started life as a very nice saloon but is having a 3" roof chop and removing the back end of the car to make a pickup, a Morris 1000 pickup cab back is being used on this, a Ford 1600 crossflow engine is being fitted and I do have a Mini Cooper S (BMW) supercharger sitting on a shelf as well
The Land Rover is pretty much standard but fitted with high lift suspension and a 2.8 Diahatsu diesel engine.
The Panther Bobber is an original 1963 bike fitted with a 1950's rigid rear frame, 5/16 tyres front and rear, cut away (Bobbed) mudguards and a small Harley tank, I am also restoring/butchering a PAV single wheel trailer for this bike.
I am on the look out for a very cheap 2 CV to start my project with.
Shedspeed, I am in Tunbridge Wells Kent |

Sounds like a hefty list of projects. Time for a sabbatical?
I am very curious about the Panther. I like the bobber style a lot and have so far not seen a panther with that treatment. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Well guy's, this is my Panther Bobber.
built from parts, nothing was purchased new for her. It all came from the shed/mates/skip.
Slow but fun to ride. _________________ In-the-Shed Speed Shop. |

Is naaice!
One or two personal comments:
Lose the front mudguard.
It could use a nice paintjob
Notice rear light, as well. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Thanks guys Bart, have you tried riding a motorcycle in the rain with no front guard? I have and it stinks She is currently running no guard and is unusable in the rain.
This old girl gets used as and when I feel like it including a run up to Wales for the Dragon rally last February, she isn't just a sunshine girl _________________ In-the-Shed Speed Shop. |
