Hi,

I know there's differences between Ami Super and 2cv front arms. But to avoid problems with getting those rare Ami Super track rod ends, would it be possible to use a 2cv hub on an Ami Super arm? Or would the distance to the track rod end be too far away or too close, or are there any other obvious difference?

With hub, I mean this part:

I also know that it's easier to lower an Ami Super without have to modify the front arm. Is that true also if I use a 2cv hub on Ami Super arm?

I have seen 2cv6 arms and hubs with Ami Super front axel and steering rods... Steering rods were welded to hubs and looked horrible. I donīt know how easy it was to adjust that and will it ever work long.

But anyway, best idea is to put euros on the table and buy the right parts which needed. Those still can be found from the middle europe.

My conclusion too, at least when parts are still possible to get :)

The hub will fit concerning the kingbolt, but bearing is smaller (1mm outside diameter) so a better option is hub from Ami 6/8, AK, Acad.

Without original Super hub, the distance will be some millimeters wrong between steering rods and steering rack and probably not possible to work around without cutting or welding. I wish for a special made adjustable sleeve for adjusting distance to steering rod, then it should be possible to use other than original Super hub. But I'm not sure what the correct length would be.

I see Burtoncar makes (probably better than original) sleeves, but they're normal size. I actually tried to ask them in Salbris for sleeves for Ami Super, but I'm not sure if I asked the right person, he didn't understand my question back then. Or if I asked the right question...

I see that AK tie rod ends are longer than 2cv. So maybe a combination of these would make up for the length? But again, I havent' measured the exact length yet.

So I'll drive with original setup for probably a long time..

you are right,
those stainless steel sleeves only exist for the standard 2cv.
