It's looking nice so far Spookeend. I'am curious what the end-result may be. Hope it's ready at the WM.

Sad to say, Spookeend v1.5 has come to it's end.....

On the way to Salbris the best part blew up nicely, letting behind a thick cloud of good smelling smoke (oil that is...) I had the 650 cc engine, 4 years, 30.000 km, and the pistonrings gave way i think, will see when i open it.

The chassis broke (old, 3rd chassis i had under, took me for about 9 years and 250.000 Km to get it to go finally, many welding jobs later) on the way further and on the way the back the gearbox finally gave up (was not really surprised, 1st and reverse were broken for 2 years, had to hold the leaver to keep the gear in place)

The body is totally rusted, with good paint on it, and many welded bits and pieces. This version of my Spookeend will find it's last rusting place in the backyard of my home, for the kids to play in. The comming years (i hope to finish in 2 or 3, all about cash....) i hope to build something nice and "me" like....

To bad, HE just turned 25......

dusting of a really old topic....

seems like i cant live without, and got a nice red 1987 2cv again.....

http://www.spookeend.nl/photo-shoots/?album=3&gallery=6

Got lucky, its from one of my best friends, and he rather see me in it then see it rot away outside.... so, got it just for a real nice little price.... and i am really happy with it.

It was completely restored 6 years ago. Sadly, it has been standing outside ever since, so... well, there is rust, and a lot too.... The spare wheel compartment and inner backwheel panels have the most of as under the taillights, so, some welding there. But, all the rest is in good nick, all new, still and it has galvanized chassis (wheels box, very stiff)

Sold my wheels, still have all my audio and CX GTI interior, so that will be fitted when the welding is done.

The color is hideous, and the alu parts that are on will go somewhere else, lol, a few will stay but not all.

So, something to do next year!!!

for those interested, my old one is in the garden, serving as a playcar for the kids!!

took some time, sorry to bump such an old topic, but been busy otherwise.

I am starting to get the feel again, and i am now sanding and all, so, making ready for new color!

Chassis and engine all done, first thing is to get it moving again so i can get rid of my hideous 306 daily.... And then, when it drives (must be before november, but prefered before end of august....) i can make it a bit more and more my own!

i know, but to drive is more important now, the rims will be.... dunno sure yet, but not this, lol

I think either same color as the car or matted black with chrome hubcaps and maybe chrome inlay in the rim....
