Hi all,

Befor spraying a 2cv body I removed all the windows (for this is a sencable thing to do!)

However im a bit woried about re-fitting them (knowing how much of a git they were to get out, and the hayns manual says "dont bother")

Should I just take it to a profesional to re-fit them, or dose anyone have any tips for putting them back in?

Thanks

Tev

if you want to re fit any 2cv windows it easy

step1 put the rubber on the glass

step2 put grees in the gap of the rubber

step3 get some string e.g. a gide rope from a tent and put it round the window in the gape were you put the grees.

step4 put the window in the window frame/door with the string ends poking through the other side.

step5 pul the string so that the rubber starts to go over the frame/metal strip. go all the way round until yuo pull all the string out and the window should be in.

I will have to give that a try tomorow when the paint has dryed on the doors.

I have done windows with an insert in the rubber befor now (on my bus mainly) and I know how much of a s*** they can be

Its so easy when you know how eh?
makes trying to paint the cr with the windows in worse as it takes longer to mask and clean up.
