yes yes, agreed... it looked better in my head, seems to short with them there, was going for the early back end look. Lights can't be easily recessed in as is because the boot floor meets right in middle of them.
Olli i like you suggestion.... i could have some more cutting and welding ahead of me, also think i need to lower the bumber a litol to get better dimensions.
Cheers! _________________ Check out my Dinosaur www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPF_uU61als

Some young punk decided he luved French ass and got closer than he could handle ;( Although the litol prick has denied everything to the police, even with all his details he wrote down and i cross checked, so i now have to fit the bill
But at least the means i am more motivated to get my 2cv back on the road;)
I had a local panel beater smooth out he heat ripple in the window i welded up, he did an amazing job, and fast, bearly any filler required
2 days, Floors are in and Rear windows shaped, filled and primed

I got my modified springs back so have started getting them ready. Trying to repair not replace what i can.
Cut and honed the old cans
Welded and reground the suspension eyes.
And knife edges.
Finishing the front and rear panels next... Still nothing lines up or is true...

Just did another 4 days sraight on the project and what do i have to show for it not a lot! i am repairing the last guard, lots welds and reinforcing needed, painted body deadener on the underside and sorted out all the mounting points why cant modifying 2cv's always be fun!
At least while i am away for 3-4weeks my panel beater will have the guards and bonnet in primer ready to spray
Then all that is left is to redo the rear tail panel like suggested;
Thx Olli
I had an LNA gearbox arrive from across the creek so to replace the old drummer and instead of waiting for it to be converted to discs i think I should just drop in the LNA

What are peoples thoughts of the old ripple bonnet? I never see many nice mild customs with them... I always remember the image of Lars' little beast with the old ripple
Aesthetically it is so much more unique.

I like ripple bonnets when they are used right. Most bad sitatuation is stock
2cv6 with ripple bonnet. If you like to put one, you should at least change
bumber, remove turning signals, get or make narrow lamp stand.

Harley,
just wondering, will the lower cylinder head stud be shortened, as there's not much room between it and the 'extra' plug?
