But it is Truck Yes, I would like to get rid of them. But I used to have
one Azu (super) without mirrors, and I can tell that it was nightmare in
daily use. As I use this car 15000km in year, I'm still hesitating to take
them off

Mirrors are a little big to big. But on the otherhand, they give caracter to this car. |

Hoi! Got heads ported today!
Near the valve guides ports are almost twice as big as they used to be!

Valve springs. Hmm.. orginals were really soft. With my friend we put
one head together just with bare hands! So I have to do something.
I took springs off from old 2cv6 head (later one? has just one spring/valve).
I combined inner spring from 12hp and outer from 2cv6, now it seem
to be strong enough. I also tried to use just 2cv6 springs but because bottom
of inner spring is higher in old head it became too strong.

Today worked with rocker arms.
Slightly lighten and polished them.

Thanks!
First I made rough shapes with flap disk on angle grinder. Then I continue
with this:
Bench grinder which has smooth sandpaper belt and in other end cotton
wheel for final polishing. That white piece on top of grinder is polishing wax.

Brilliant stuff, Olli.
Have you considered increasing the compression ratio, by shortening the barrels slightly?
As far as I can remember, those engines were 7.5:1 or even less, so increasing the C.R. to around 8.5:1 would give another boost in power...

Actually for 100€ you can find a set of piston from "perfect Circle" with a ratio of 9:1.
This is what I put on my engine can you can feel the difference.

Yeah, you can sure find those for 2cv6, but how is with old 425cc?
Also I can go machine my cylinders to my friends place at free.
Does anyone know how much is example this 7,5:1 in bars? My
engine has only 6bar in bolth sides, and it does not mess oil so piston
rings does not leak so much.
